NBA: 2019 Playoffs “Reality Check”

With 40 days remaining in the 2018-2019 NBA Season, I want to show you, the dedicated NBA Fans, which teams will most likely make it to the next level and their respective 1st round matchups. If you’re wondering where the so called “Best Player In The World” is on this bracket, I’m here to tell you that your guess is as good as mines. The sad reality is Lebron James will most likely miss the NBA Playoffs for the 1st time since the 2004-2005 NBA Season. The Los Angeles Lakers (30-33, #10 in the West) have failed to win games against teams most analysts say are “trying not to win” for better draft picks to rebuild their respective franchises around. The rest of the Lakers 2019 Schedule is filled with top tier competition. Teams like the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder & the Golden State Warriors will not give the psychologically devested Los Angeles Lakers a chance to recover from the off court drama that came with King James’ LA Arrival. With a little under 20 games left, the Lakers are currently 4.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the 8th Seed in the Wild Wild West. In my opinion, I don’t see Coach Pop allowing a well known rival franchise send his Spurs home before the 2019 postseason. The Los Angeles Lakers would have to go 19-4 to even be considered somewhat of a threat. The Lakers capturing the 8th Seed only leads to an early 1st Round sweep by the Golden State Warriors. Nobody wants to admit it but it’s safe to say that the League has caught up to Lebron James. The Reign Of King James is slowly but surely coming to an end. Hopefully Lebron can embrace his new role in the league and maybe make a championship run with the Lakers in the next 4 years.
