NBA: Lakers “AD Goes To Hollywood”

With Free Agency just a couple weeks away (July 1st) The entire NBA landscape has already began to shift. According to Woj, The Los Angeles Lakers reached an agreement to acquire three-time All-NBA forward Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans for 3 players and 3 first-round draft picks on Saturday, league sources told ESPN.

The Lakers traded Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and multiple picks including the No. 4 overall selection in Thursday's NBA draft to the New Orleans Pelicans. The “x factor” that made this blockbuster trade a “Win-Win” for both teams was that the Lakers was able to keep forward Kyle Kuzma in LA. According to Woj, New Orleans' trade package from the Lakers represents one of the most substantial returns on a single star player in modern league history. In my opinion, the Los Angeles Lakers will have to build a solid bench this Summer and possibly sign one more Max Player before I can believe that the Lakers are the favorites to win the 2020 NBA Championship.
