NBA: Pacers “No Oladipo, No Problem?”

NBA Fans Around the world know that when it comes to the NBA, anything is possible. The Indiana Pacers (38-20, #3 In The East) has the entire league in shock. Pacers Superstar Victor Oladipo went down with a Ruptured Quad Tendon January 23rd vs the Toronto Raptors. The NBA media was convinced that the Pacers would miss the 2019 NBA playoffs without their lead scorer. However, once the Pacers defeated the Lakers by 42 points without Oladipo, the team almost single handedly silenced the nonbelievers. Head Coach Nate McMillian is now in the conversation for “Coach Of The Year“ and the Pacers went from the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference to the 3rd seed within weeks after acquiring Wesley Matthews from the Dallas Mavericks & Edmond Sumner from their G League Affiliate The Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Due to the Pacers being considered a “small market” team, the NBA media is still doubting their Playoff Potential by placing the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers & Boston Celtics above them. In my opinion, the Pacers are motivated by this strategic move by the league because it’s makes them the underdogs in a highly competitive Eastern Conference. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Indiana Pacers upset 3 out of 4 of their competitors this postseason. With a great Head Coach and strong young core to build and develop around, this franchise as a bright future ahead of them.
