NBA: Who Will De-Throne The Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors (49-23, #2 In The West) are expected to win their 4th championship in 5 years. This season potentially will be the 1st 3peat since the Kobe & Shaq Led Los Angeles Lakers. However, the events within the last few months may completely change the game forever. New, young elite teams like Milwaukee Bucks (#1 In The East), Toronto Raptors (#2 In The East) & the Denver Nuggets (#1 in the West) elevated their respective franchises after the All Star Break. Middle of the pack teams like the Indiana Pacers (Once Victor Oladipo Returns), Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics & Detroit Pistons Give the Eastern Conference hopes for the future of the NBA. After watching Golden State Dominate the Postseason for nearly half a decade, I finally believe I have the answer to how teams can finally defeat the Best in the West. Instead of trying to outshoot the Warriors from the perimeter like the Houston Rockets attempted last season, apply pressure defense to force Klay Thompson & Steph Curry to drive inside or run their flawless offense through DeMarcus Cousins who will not be able to give consistent results in a tough Seven Game Series. Once you slow down the offense output, teams like Milwaukee & Brooklyn will have to turn their defensive stops into turnover scoring and fast break conversion to keep Golden State‘s Patented “Pick ‘n Roll” off balance. These young teams are not only no longer scared of Lebron James, they’re showing the world that Golden State‘s reign over the league is coming to an end. As a true student and fan of the game when it’s played at a high level, I look forward to seeing one of the teams I constantly highlight here at GTA Sports taking over the NBA and starting a new dynasty for years to come!
