Phoenix gets hot in 4th to seal the Win

The Indiana Fever started on a hot streak early in the game. They went on an 8-0 run in the first 6 minutes of the game. By the 4-minute mark, Phoenix Mercury was catching up thanks to DeWanna Bonner's shooting streak. The 9 point lead Indiana had, was down to 2 by the 3:29 mark. Bonner had 9 points in the first quarter. The final score was 95-77, Phoenix with the win.

DeWanna Bonner finished the first quarter with 12 points. The Fever led by one at the end of the first quarter 21-20. The game was close throughout the second quarter, but that all changed around the 4-minute mark and Phoenix went on a run. The score was 41-37 by the 2-minute mark. Teaira McCowan of the Fever was in foul trouble with 3 personal fouls in just the second quarter.

To be honest, the Fever could not stop the duo of Bonner and Griner. They combined for 23 points in the first half. Phoenix was on top in the second, as well as finishing the quarter 44-33.

The Mercury dominated all across the board. Not only did they have the biggest lead of 18, but also dominated on the glass. They had 27 total rebounds, 28 total assists, & fewer turnovers than Indiana.

On the other hand, Indiana did have some good moments. Erica Wheeler finished with 18 points, 9 assists, and 2 rebounds. Other stars that contributed to the Fever were Tiffany Mitchell, Candice Dupree, and of course McCowan with 9 rebounds.

However, it was impossible to stop Bonner and Griner who had 22 points each. Not to mention Camille Little had a good game as well with 11 points. Above all, Phoenix had one of their best games yet. Mercury went 100 percent from the line. As a team, they shot better with 53.2 percent. And let's not forget about their 3-point percentage with 57.1.

In conclusion, Phoenix Mercury is now 10-8 & Indiana Fever 6-15 on the season.
