Storm continues streak, blowing by the Fever

Fever (5-24) Vs Storm (23-7)

Final: 79-94 Storm Wins

Last night’s match-up was arguably the closest thing to a David vs. Goliath match in the WNBA. The Indiana Fever who are currently at the bottom of the Eastern Conference fell short to the best team in the league & debatably the Western Conference. However, due to scoring dry spells, turnovers and a struggle to maintain defensive efficiency during the 2nd & 3rd Quarters; the Fever were no match for the Category F5 Storm from Seattle.

Fever Standouts: Candice Dupree - 22pts/8rebs/3asts Kelsey Mitchell - 14pts/4asts Victoria Vivians - 15pts/5rebs - *All 3's in first half

Storm Standouts: Natasha Howard - 19pts/8rebs/4asts Breanna Stewart - 17pts/12rebs/4asts Sue Bird - 16pts/8asts Jewell Loyd - 10pts/2rebs

OPINION: While Cappie had an off shooting night, her typical scoring contributions, would have made up the difference in final result & possibly shocked the Storm with an upset.

Sue Bird became the new WNBA record holder for most career (16,089+) minutes played --formally held by Tina Thompson of the Houston Comets .

Candice Dupree secured a Top 10 spot on the same list, currently (#9) passing Becky Hammon, with 12,834 & counting.
